Cutlass Black, Hornet F7C and Freelancer Packages

Choose your Starter Pack

We find ourselves in the same situation as the three packages of the Avenger Stalker, Reliant Kore and Arrow, except that here the comparison is more difficult because it will play on small details and will mainly depend on what you really need. And as with the three previous packs, if you only care about the ship and the Star Citizen/Squadron 42 licenses and you don't care about the rest of the pack (digital goodies, hangar, insurance, etc.), make sure that buying the Mustang package including Squadron 42 that you upgrade to the ship of your choice isn't more advantageous.

Package contents :

  • Second level Hangar (Aeroview Hangar) for the Hornet and Freelancer,
  • Last level Hangar (VFG Hangar) for the Cutlass Black,
  • Digital Game Soundtrack,
  • Digital Star Citizen Manual,
  • Digital Star Map,
  • Digital Engineering Manual for Freelancer only,
  • 6 months insurance,
  • 5000 EUC.

The three packages are equal in terms of the gain of UEC, since they all offer all three 5000 UEC.

Similarly in terms of digital content, there is the Star Citizen licence and the need to pay a surcharge to acquire Squadron 42, as well as the Star Map and Game Soundtrack. The Freelancer's package stands out from the other two by offering the Engineering Manual, knowing that at the moment it is not clear what this manual will actually be, and whether it will be of any interest.

Where we can see a real difference is on the Hangar, the Cutlass Black package stands out from the other two by offering the VFG Industrial Hangar, while the other two will only offer the Aeorview.

Those three packs are the same.

The Cutlass Black pack stands out for its upgradeability ($100.00 Ship) and the presence of the VFG Hangar.

The Freelancer pack stands out for the presence of the Engineering Manual.

Finally, compared to the two others, the Hornet package is the least interesting, and if you target this ship, you might as well opt for the Cutlass Black and upgrade it to the Hornet, which will allow you to recover the hangar on the way.

Giving more interest to the VFG Industrial Hangar than to the Engineering Manual, I tend to prefer the Cutlass Black package, even if it's to upgrade to a Hornet or Freelancer afterwards. As for the Engineering Manual it is still possible to buy it individually for $10.00 HT.

Star Citizen Package Drake Cutlass Black

Drake Loot and Scoot Package

This package is to my taste questionable, it is an opportunity to have a Dragonfly Black at a lower cost, or simply to acquire a Dragonfly, as it is not available as an individual ship, but compared to the Cutlass Black package I am not sure it is that advantageous.

Especially since this package does not include additional digital goodies, nor the 5000 UEC, so many small details that this package allows you to save $5.00 HT on a Dragonfly Black but will make you lose an opportunity to have $20.00 HT of ancillary products, of course, these products remain secondary, it's up to you to see the importance you give them.

Drake Loot and Scoot Deluxe Package

The "deluxe" variant is sold for an additional $5.00, but in return you get the Dragonfly Yellowjacket and the Skull and Crossbone skin for your Cutlass Black, as well as 60 months insurance.

Only downside, this pack requires to have access to the concierge's shop, and therefore to have invested no less than $1000 in the project, a little bit expensive paid the right to access two skins...

Attention, it seems that the Drake Loot and Scoot packs and its "deluxe" edition are no longer available.
